PASTORAL BIBLE STUDIES

"If you point these things out to the brothers and sisters, you will be a good minister of Christ Jesus, nourished on the truths of the faith and of the good teaching that you have followed."

1 Timothy 4:6

The Evangelical Pentecostal Church of United States of America carries out every last week of May its Bible Study for Pastors and Brethren in Charge of affiliated local churches. The MBS supports activity by designing examinations and providing certificate of participation. â€‹

The Bible Study is based on lessons taken from the textbook titled: Outline Studies of Christian Doctrine, by George P. Pardington.

¿Who was George Palmer Pardington? (1866-1915)

He was born in St. Clair, Michigan. At the age of ten he was beaten by a school teacher who caused a physical disability he suffered most of his life. For a time it seemed that he had healed, but the problem returned. Despite his disability, he lived a successful and productive life.

Like his father began his ministry as pastor of a small Methodist church. His higher education at New York University and Drew University culminated with obtaining a doctorate in 1898. His deep spiritual life during his years of graduate studies attribute it to his relationship with Dr. A. B. Simpson. His training for ministry took place at the Missionary Training Institute in 1897.

His writings include several very significant books as: Outline Studies in Christian Doctrine and The Crisis of the Deeper Life.
